Study the IL - 10 serum level in acute myeloid leukemia patients before & after chemotherapy

چکیده
Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is commonly regarded as an anti-inflammatory. has pleiotropic effects in immunoregulation and inflammation and influences many aspects of the immune response ,and is cytokine that stimulates various hematopoietic cells,. and is primarily produced by monocytes and, to a lesser extent, lymphocytes, namely type 2 T helper cells (TH2), mastocytes, regulatory T cells. The function of IL10 has been detected in the leukemic cells of most ALL and AML cases and it suppresses the immune reactions. The aim of this study to evaluate serum IL-10 concentration of patients before and after treatment ,and comparative with control subjects . The other aims is to associate this protein with age groups stage and the gender . A direct ELISA was used to quantify serum IL-10 concentrations in 60 patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML)and 15 healthy subjects (control) ,and so there was significant effect of age on the level of IL_10 at AML patients, where no significant effect of gender on the level of IL_10. We found serum concentrations of IL-10 were significant decrease in patients with AML after treatment in compared with patients before treatment (P< 0.5) .

Investigation of Leptin, Leukemia Inhibitory Factor (LIF), and IL-6 Serum Levels in Myeloid Leukemia
Background: Leptin has been implicated in the differentiation and proliferation of hematopoietic cells. Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) may play an important role, along with Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G- CSF), in the regulation of early hematopoietic stem cells. The aim of the study was to evaluate serum level of leptin, LIF, and IL-6 in myeloid leukemia p...
متن کاملLipid profile and oxidized lipoprotein levels in patients with acute myeloid leukemia
Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is blood and bone marrow malignancy. Low-density oxidative lipoprotein (oxLDL) is a pro-inflammatory factor that has free radicals in its structure. OxLDL levels are also rising in diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and some cancers. Studies have shown that oxLDL and dyslipidemia are more common in patients with various cancers. This stud...
متن کاملSerum Lipid Profile Alterations in Acute Leukemia Before and After Chemotherapy
Background: Serum lipids abnormalities have been observed in various forms of cancers including acute leukemia. Investigators report decreased total cholesterol and HDL, and elevated triglyceride in leukemic patients. Limited studies had been performed to discover the correlation between abnormal lipids profile and disease activity in leukemic patients in Iran. This study was done to evaluate t...
متن کاملSurveying The Variations of Lipid and Lipoprotein-Cholesterol in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
The importance of variations in lipid and lipoprotein-cholesterol level has been determined in many disorders including cardiovascular and metabolic ones. The following study has been achieved with the aim of determining the level of these factors and their standard variation criteria in patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). To meet this demand, serum lipid and lipoprotein-cholester...
متن کاملEffect of Chemotherapy on Zinc, Copper, Vitamin D Levels and Inflammatory Marker in Adult Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Background: In acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) the bone marrow loses its ability in the differentiation and maturation of blood cells at different stages. Zinc and copper are important co-factors for several enzymes and play an important role in maintenance of DNA integrity. Changes in serum levels of zinc and copper have been found in lymphoproliferative disorders. In the present study, the...
